Saw in GAW's column that Daniel P. is leaving Elisabeth Daniel to open a new restaurant and Loretta Keller from Bizou is going to take over at ED. It certainly sounds a lot different from what he's doing now. I wonder if they're going to keep the name...thoughts?
non sequitur - What do you guys think of the small plates menu every new restaurant seems to be employing?
interestingly, Patricia Unterman also reviewed ED today in the Examiner. Money quote: "Elizabeth Daniel has hit its stride; it quietly has become the important restaurant to visit in San Francisco." Could it be that we will finally start seeing some important new restaurants open up within SF again?
