Despite the state of the economy, many new restaurants are opening up locally. People gotta eat, right?
Here's some you may or may not have heard about yet:
Fredo's. Replaces Ferrari's on Rt. 9 North in Freehold (near Chester Lighting). Italian, ho-hum.
Lemon Mediterranean. Same plaza as above. Most likely next to Aangan Indian restaurant. (I checked. I was right). Headed by Chef Ash, "executive chef of a popular Freehold restaurant." Hope it's not a lemon. (Ha, ha).
Hartigan's Grille. Serving breakfast (all day), lunch and dinner. 3 Tennant Ave., Englishtown. Advertises that all ingredients are fresh, never frozen.
Fusha - Chinese, Japanese, Thai. 27 South Street, Freehold. Also Vietnamese and sushi.
Firehouse restaurant. Not yet open. Have not seen for myself, but the location is in the same plaza as Masala Kitchen Indian restaurant on Rt. 9 North in Marlboro. My wife saw a sign in the window where the "Halloween Superstore" usually occupies. That's a big spot.
