I'm so tired of dining il n the gloom; using my penlight to read the menu. And these gloomy restaurants are often the ones with music tracks that are like a knife driven between your eyes. I know, I know - my daughter's response was, "if it's too loud, you're too old". Maybe so. But still, what are your favorite (if any) restaurants with entrees under $30 (or even $25), where I can look at my food (a feast for the eyes?) and hear my companion's conversation? I sometimes wonder, what are they hiding in all that darkness? What awful thing might I see, if I turned over a leaf? So give it your best shot.
