Restaurant Week at Mistral

A friend and I went to dinner at Mistral this past Monday night. We were seated right away and the place was packed. Our waiter was attentive and the staff keep our table clean and our water filled.

For an appetizer, I had a chilled corn soup with a mound of avacado in the center. My friend had a crab and avacado timbale. They were both large and delicious. We also enjoyed the fresh bread. The third choice was some kind of salad.

For an entree, I had the chicken. It was served over wild mushrooms in some sort of sweet red wine sauce. It also came with parmesan polenta and zucchini. My friend had a steak that I didn't try, but she loved.
I think that the third choice was a salmon dish.

For dessert there was only one option. A tart lemon mousse was served in a martini glass and covered in fresh berries. I loved it but was so full at that point! This dinner was delicious and our portions were huge. It was a great value for 30.00 each!
