I am looking for somewhere fantastic to go for my birthday. My companion and I are complete food fanatics (I know I'm in good company here), and enjoyed recent spectacular meals at Chez Panisse, Gary Danko, and 71 Clinton, so the bar is set quite high.
I've lived in Philly for some time now, and have already been to Morimoto, Pasion, Striped Bass, Alma de Cuba, Le Bec, Buddakan, Tre Scalini, Django...
We can't get a reservation at Vetri, and I'm desperate for a place that serves market-fresh innovative food, somewhat ala Django. I'd like to spend no more than $150 per including wine. And I'm open to all types of food (How is Tangerine?? Is Fork birthday-worthy?)
Any suggestions, I'd be very grateful. Thanks.
