come to my rescue please - resto in San Pedro area

Ok - here's the situation: My family is meeting the b-friend's parents this weekend over dinner. I am totally choking on where to go and putting way too much pressure on myself about it.

Here are the requirements:

- San Pedro area. If not San Pedro, it's gotta be North on the 110 (Lomita, Gardena, etc) or Long Beach area due to some travelling considerations. I was shying away from LB because of the Grand Prix though. Can't be South Bay, PV, Torrance.

- QUIET. My hard-of-hearing grandfather will be frustrated if he can't have a normal conversation with the parents.

- Low-key vibe. I don't particularly care about it being cheap, as much as it feels casual. I want the restaurant to help the mood at the table, and make sure that everything is casual and fun.

- Steaks/Seafood/American/Italian/Mexican are probably fine.

If Cafe Noir were still on Western, that would be the type of place that I would want to take them.

I was considering Cha Cha Cha in Long Beach, but haven't been there in a long time and can't stand the one in SF. Also - can't remember if it's quiet?

Anyone know anything about the new Italian restaurant on 6th street in San Pedro across from La Conga?

Thanks a million!
