Report on The Saloon

Went to The Saloon on Wed. nite w/a couple of clients and my wife. I was a little disappointed. The previous times I had eaten there, the food was very good. This time, I wound up with a very ordinary veal chop in both quality and size. Also they got a little too happy with the dressing in my Caesar salad. In all fairness, my clients enjoyed what they had (lobster francais and porterhouse steak). My wife also had the porterhouse and enjoyed it thoroughly. So I guess the motto, as always, is it depends on what you order. Prices are still about what I expected. All our entrees were in the mid to high '30's. Caesar salad was $10. We had the "Italiano" appetizer which was basically a sampler of their high end appetizers. Good but not great. Oh, well. The food was better than the way the Sixers played that night. They were atrocious!
