a while ago i posted a request for a great patio. intimate, not crowded.
well, i found it on church just north of wellesley. it's called le petit liban and it was delightful.
the patio was wonderful, the food was delicious and the service was excellent.
not the cheapest place, but certainly resonable. it was $100 before tip and that included a bottle of wine.
while we were waiting for our order we were presented with some bread and mango butter which was very tasty.
we then shared a caesar salad to start and it was quite tasty. the dressing was a creamy dressing, but still relatively light and not overwhelming. it was very beautifully presented and set a lovely mood. the presentation of it (which involved whole lettuce leaves) did make it perhaps not the idea dish for sharing, but we managed. *grin*
i ordered the black angus striploin, however i had a different sauce. unfortunately i can't remember what it was now, it was a sauce that was on one of their specials, but the steak that was the special was being served with shrimp and i'm not a shrimp fan. when i told the server this he helpfully suggested i order the striploin on the menu and he would have them use the sauce from the special instead. it was delicious.
my dinner companion ordered the shish tawook which was possibly the most divine thing i have ever tasted. it was delicious.
we didn't get dessert, but we were plenty full by the end of the night.
all in all, a delightful experience.
their website has a menu listing, as well as pictures of the place.
