REPORT - Indonesian-Dutch Bazaar Sunday 11/11

Han Lukito | Nov 11, 2001 03:25 PM

Happy to report that this bazaar is of chowhound quality. What a treat !! So many vendors selling authentic Indonesian food, many different types - like a dream come true.

They have lots of authentic appetizers, very unique: lempers, krokets, risoles, lumpia, kue lapis, kue mangkok, on and on. And the choices are quite immense.

Beef Rendangs - excellent quality and so many people selling these.

I saw nasi kuning of the high quality, lontong, nasi uduk, Soto Betawi ,Nasi goreng, etc, etc

Still have 2 and 1/2 hours left at the end of this writing - better go for those who can still make it.

I bought the butter kue lapis that is outstanding near the entrance door for $25 for the whole cake.

Prices are reasonable.
