Report on dining near Long Wharf Marriott

Many thanks to those who gave us recommendations for our little school vacation week getaway at The LW Marriott. With careful planning, we fit in pretty much all of the recommendations resulting from my posting, except for the E. Boston suggestion. We had dinner the first night at Durgin Park, which we all enjoyed- my 12 yr. old loved the chowder, and my husband was happy with his Indian pudding. After walking around Newbury St. yesterday, we had a snack at the Middle Eastern place on Gloucester (I think), where my daughter tried my Mediterranean salad (her first), and now has a new favorite to add to her list. We had afternoon tea at The Boston Harbor Hotel, which was especially nice after walking around in the rain, and they accommodated us without a reservation. We had dinner last night at North Street Grill, which we all loved, and lunched this afternoon at Antico Forno- again, a hit. The soup was amazing. So, thanks again to Joanie, Dax, mwk, and Shopgirl for the great suggestions.
