Removing grit from jarred oysters?

Got a rather large jar of oysters from Costco today. Gave a few of them a quick bath in milk and coated in seasoned flour/cornstarch and pan fried them. They came out crispy and delicious, but a couple were definitely gritty. Since they're not live anymore, is there any way to clean away the grit?
