There's no rush on this, but I'm completely stumped. It's time to plan my department's annual dinner, which will be held in mid-October.
I have a smallish group - about 10-15 people - all of whom are entry-level. A couple of execs will join us, but I need someplace with a good scene (hopping, but not overdone), good food, can handle a larger group, and isn't too "foreign" (I've got some finicky eaters in this crowd, unfortunately).
In past years, we went to Dos Caminos (big hit, but service was iffy), Pressure (pool playing was fun, but the food was intolerable), and Tuscan (too uptight).
Any suggestions? It shouldn't be too far uptown or downtown (we work in midtown & most people commute from GCT). I've got a decent budget (about $200/head for food, alcohol, tax & tip).
Thanks for your help.
