If you are out leafpeeping, stop at Stoggy Hollow on Route 198, near the junction of Route 171. Their lunch and dinner food offerings are excellent, and they have the best burgers in the area (on sturdy rolls that don't fall apart!).
But, if you can, go for breakfast! Huge pancakes with juicy blueberries, great French toast, and absolutely the best home fries anywhere! They have a "Big Stoggy" breakfast--two eggs, carbs (toast, little muffins AND biscuits), meat (bacon, ham or sausage), pancakes or French toast, and coffee for 7 bucks! We were there last weekend, the place was crowded and it seemed every other person was ordering this breakfast. Lots of other good stuff, too.
This is a little country place, with an eat outside deck, which is wonderful when the weather is good.
I am salivating just thinking about those pancakes!!!
