I've only had Kobe beef in Osaka, Japan and it was amazing. We sat at a sushi-style bar, with about 10 seats, chose the type of steak we wanted, and then the chef would cook about three bite size pieces at a time so that you never ate cold food and only ate as much as you wanted. It was just great. There were also side dishes - but I don't remember those.
Is there any place in LA (but not Urasawa which does this) that serves food this way? I'm looking for a very intimate setting.
