This restaurant serves Chinese food, but I just go for the Vietnamese offerings. The pho is better than any I have ever had in a NYC restaurant and just about equal to homemade IMHO. They only have pho bo on the menu, but if you ask nicely and use your charm, they might be persuaded to make a pho ga (pho broth with chicken in it).
Had the fried spring rolls on my last trip and those were quite good too. Vietnamese coffee for dessert is served in a VERY generous portion.
This place has great value, great food and sweet service. It definitely deserves more Chowhound patronage.
It is located on 18th Avenue in Bensonhurst between 75th and 76th streets (I think 7524 18th Avenue is the address.) Take the M or the D to 79th street, exit at the 77th street stairway and walk toward 18th ave.
Place was pretty empty last night and also quiet on my one other visit. Hope it gets more support to keep making such good Vietnamese food!
