I was making a chorizo taco salad last night and decided I would like some cool creamy ranch dressing on the greens for some contrast. Did not want to go to the store for buttermilk. I used 1/2 C. Hellman's, 1/3 C. Fage yogurt, 2 Tbs. buttermilk powder and the juice of about 2 limes. Whipped it up then added 1/4 C. fresh chopped chives and a good grinding of blck pepper. It was delicious and I have enough for a couple more salads. Give it a try. It certainly was faster than going to the store and back and it is 5 mins.away. It was very fresh tasting and had just a faint hint of sweetness.
