Ramen in the S.F. Valley

It is hard living in Tujunga and not being able to find a nice Ramen place. Most Japanese places (actually, Korean posing as Japanese), serve Udon. Those fat pasty noodles never appealed to me.

So far, Nippon Ramen on Reseda has been my hangout, but I tried Kyushu on Sherman Way today. How disappointing. As Ramen goes it was blah. The broth was (3) on the 1 to 10 scale, and was chock full of MSG, which made my tongue feel strange (something I have not felt in a while), and later has given me a headache (while I write this, BTW).

Kyushu, does look like it has some other decent items, but for Ramen, look elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, Nippon is no great shakes either, but traveling all the way to J-town isn't always practical.

Anyone know of any other Ramen places in the S.F. valley? I tried one off of Ventura near Van Nuys, years ago, but they were hit & miss.

Ciao, ciao...
