i had the beef soup w/ pulled noodles (the #1 on the board)day before yesterday for late lunch and it was mighty fine. make sure to have them add lots of fresh cilantro and spicy red chili paste. when you get sick this will cure you.
as previously reported by others the XI'AN stand upstairs looks closed to me and i could not be more sad because they made my fav soup/stew in the world. hopefully they are moving into the mall but for now i am crushed.
the thai place back downstairs at the entrance shrunk their drinks menu so no avocado shake--not that i ever scored one but i tried several times. however, the bubble tea crew across from them set me up with a nice taro sago drink and i survived.
i then walked into the asian supermarket across main street thinking i might pick up a bag a dumplings and left terribly disappointed. sure they had lots of variety in the frozen section, but on close inspection evrything was freezer burned and the dumplings cracked, broken and powdery. yuk. lesson learned--i say stick with getting them from restaurants instead.
