Had a great celebration meal at Quo Vadis. Hadn't been there since the wonderful Jeremy Lee took over the cooking. It's a lovely combination of ambience which doesn't seem to have changed since it opened (lots of Art Deco) and great seasonal food. Standout items were the smoked trout and horseradish, and the lightest strawberry shortcake. Also really good coffee (often a let down in good restaurants.). Friendly but not over the top service (we were able to have a proper conversation!), and reasonable noise levels though it was busy.
Off topic a bit. I did a cookery class with Jeremy lee a few years ago and the squash receive he taught us is still part of my repertoire.
