Last night I tried a new recipe - thought the short cut was brilliant and the saute ingredients could be up to you. Opened a bag of baby spinach and put it in a large colander in the sink. Cooked a package of cheese tortellini (from the refrigerator section of the grocery store) and poured the contents over the baby spinach. While the tortellini were cooking I sauteed some chopped bell pepper, shallots and cubed leftover ham steak in a generous amount of butter then added a splash of chicken stock, a splash of white wine and some dried basil. I added the ingredients of the colander to the saute pan and tossed everything together, sprinkled on some parmesan cheese and dinner was ready in like 15 minutes and it was really good.
Full disclosure, this is cribbed from a friend's copy of a cookbook put out by a popular cookware line that has parties.
