Quick lunch in Yaletown (Beatty Street)

If you are ever in the area of Beatty / Smithe there is a new cafe that has just opened up called YALE COFFEE. Not your typical "Yaletown" decore, this place is rather a funky, art decore, cozy fire place, big comfy chairs, very friendly atmosphere etc, however the food is GREAT. They offer 2-4 sandwiches daily (grilled or not grilled) which are served with a side salad and a choice of 2 daily soups. The Goulache soup(Sp?)is the best one to date! They also offer a wide selection of crepe's made on the spot and some of the best baking around (the white chocolate chip cookie is to die for) They are usually sold out of the fresh food by 2-3 so the earlier the better. A perfect spot for a quick bite or a relaxing afternoon coffee.
869 Beatty Street, directly accross the street from The Pivitol Building as well as the Starbucks.
