Yes restaurants come and go but really? All anyone reads here is how another 'hipster' style restaurant has gone 'TU' and about another 'new' hipster' restaurant is the latest greatest place to eat in BC.
Apart from being frankly boring someone someday ought to say "the king has no clothes'. But the 'restaurant culture' of folks who make a living either helping open or close restaurants don't want anyone to think the reason the five restaurants which closed down last week was anything but "bad luck". Bull!
There are a lot of reasons these 2/10 point restaurants don't last but among the top reasons is that 'hipsters' are fast becoming tired of 'pretending' the food they are being served for fifty bucks from a snarky/ironic UBC day student is any better than they can get at any Cactus Club for half that amount.
The 'grazers' are waking up and their wallets are drying up as fast as their jobs and these silly food outlets run by twenty year old managers and supported by the last of the parents savings are folding up.
The King really doesn't have any clothes folks and he doesn't eat at 'The ........you fill in the latest trendiest name. He also isn't dumb enough to leave his invisible 'Michael Kors' jacket there. The joint will be closed by morning.
