Primo Patio Cafe - SOMA

Frosty Melon (was Chowderhead) | Oct 11, 2004 06:27 PM

Anyone been to this place? It’s a tiny storefront at Townsend & 3rd that leads back to a decent-sized patio. I walked by on Saturday and peeked in. Looks like it could be good, and since my office is relocating near the area, I swiped a take-out menu. There's a very large selection. Tapas (including ceviche, fried jalapenos, papas con queso, Carribean red fries, etc.), salads (grilled lamb w/feta, ensalada del mar, etc.), entrees (jerk chicken, calamari, etc.), sandwiches, breakfast (interesting note on menu: “Eggs not available 12 – 1:30 pm, Mon-Fri/IF BUSY”).

Mid-afternoon on a Saturday in this quiet neighborhood, and there was a surprising number of people there. Prices for the tapas dishes top out at around $6.50, and everything else is in the $7-$8 range. I look forward to trying it.
