I recently moved to Forest Hills and have been looking for a decent butcher. I have found a few in the area using Chowhound, but most of them are Kosher and most of them do not meet my needs. I like to cook. I also like to use good ingredients. 3rd, I am a student and don't have much money. I am looking for a butcher that sells PSMO's (peeled side-meat-on tenderloins- the primal cut) at a reasonable price. I do not have any idea what a reasonable price would be because I have not found a single place where I can buy shrink-wrapped PSMO's. I am basically willing to travel anywhere in Queens and maybe even into Brooklyn to find something, but do not have a car. Back in Philly, it was not difficult to find PSMO's for $5-6 per pound and I do not mind butchering my own meat. Please help. Thank you all in advance.
