I'm planning to head to NOLA this weekend with my girlfriend. I try to visit a couple times a year, but i realize i haven't branched out much food-wise.
I like to spend a little time in the Quarter and enjoy hanging out around Rue de la Course on Magazine. One of my favorite restaurants is Casimento's, mainly due to the "old school" feel and "lard only" frying policy ;) I also love the Verdi Mart in the Quarter for late night eatin's.
I know it's a loaded question, but i would appreciate any other reasonably priced suggestions around Magazine or on the edge/near the quarter. Actually, if it's really good and/or cool, i'd be open to traveling a little further.
I'm new to the site, but i don't see a compiled list of "tips" for NOLA. I know there's a ton of great restaurants. Is this something i should work on?
PS Someone recommended "Flora" to me a while back. Is that worth checking out?
