We will be seeing a play there in September and would like to go to a good birthday dinner beforehand. I originally wanted to try Mako's tasting menu but I am wondering if that is really feasible, given the 8 PM curtain and the distance between the two locations.
If anyone has any comment on whether we could do either 1)dinner at Mako or 2) tasting menu at Mako from around 6 PM to 7:30 and still really enjoy the experience, or if you have suggestions for something closer to downtown for an excellent, "not-too-heavy" meal (birthday girl's request), it would be much appreciated.
We haven't been to Water Grill in a while so that's an option if anyone has comment on that. Asian fusion seems to be what is desired however.
