Poulet for snickerdoodle and Gelato Milano, Berkeley report (w/ pics)

hhc | Jul 1, 2006 05:49 AM

I went to Berkeley Jun 26, 2006 for the free ride on Bart (Spare the Air Day) to get dessert after eating dinner at home.

By 7pm, Poulet is low on desserts, they close at 8pm. Luckily, they still had a few snickerdoodles (cookie) left. Each snickerdoodle is $1.50 and they are good-I should have bought the last two. Also, shared a cup of soup which was fine, $4. I'll have to eat there for the chicken one day.

Gelato Milano I thought it was pretty good. It's a tiny shop with lots of choices, all in Italian. Wish they had the description in English so it'll be a little bit easier to order. I tried 2 flavors and really liked it.

I went with Gianduja (which I think is Chocolate w/ hazelnut) and Pistachio. It's $3.00 + .26 tax for a small cup. They don't have cones.

Place needs pics or something. Too many white walls. There are 4 small tables in the back and some counter space with 4 chairs by the window.

Asian guy that helped me was nice and efficient, he stayed so cool when tons of ppl came after me, he needs a helper bad cuz he has to serve and take the money, repeat over and over; did he wash his hands..ooh, I don't think so.

Didn't see any bathrooms. Cash Only
