I've decided on hitting either Tufanos, La Scarola, Bruna's or Gennaro's. Of these which will have the 1. best food and 2. the best atmosphere. If you are willing to rank please do. I love rankings!=)
Next is mexican, it looks like the way things will shake time wise Chilpancingo gets the nod because of location. Is this not a wise move? Is it worth explaining to my friends that they need to trek out further to hit Ixcapuzalco? Should I make reservations for either of these?
Still trying to figure out which Thai joint to hit. It seems that most of the times when I do a chowhound search that I get some page that says "oops"! I get nothing.
I'll still hit a dog place and an italian beef joint as well as Garretts. So I will do my share of touristy crap. I bet I hit a steakjoint as well. I bet its Gibsons.

Funny story about a club near Gibson's. A friend of mine used to be semi connected politically in Chitown and we went to this club and got into the "vip" room. That isn't the cool part, I hate vip rooms. the cool part is I met this guy, maybe 70 years old. he was connected, if you know what I mean (we don't get that down here). Anyway, he tells me that next time I am in town to tell the door guy I'm his friend and to not pay anything to get in. And that they need to give me his table, because this table is his. 2 years later I show up tell the door guy what he said and I was in. It was awesome. That night my wife danced with Ditka and I worked Ditka into giving my brother a tryout with the Saints. To bad he was fired.

Thanks for all your help. I am a Houston hound and if you search you will find that i am more than willing to help anyone out when they hit the city. So please feel free to ask if you come down here.
