Planet X in Rehoboth Beach

We ate at Planet X for the second time last Saturday night, and I now can say it's my favorite restaurant in Rehoboth. It was Jazz Fest weekend and most places wore packed, but the hostess at Planet X was nice enough to seat us in 15 minutes. We got a great table in the back, decorated for Halloween? or is it always covered with black veil material and lots of little mirrors? The place is just so comfortable because the staff is so friendly without being patronizing or overbearing. My partner and I both had wild mushroom soup which was peppery and thick without being too creamy. I had red curry with lobster and shrimp for my entree. The curry was better than any Thai restaurant's I've eaten at in Philadelphia. I'm not impressed by quantities of food, but I have to mention how hard it became to finish all the seafood towards the end. My partner had ahi tuna that was soft and delicious. For dessert, they offered banana cheesecake wrapped in phyllo dough, then deepfried and surrounded by a pineapple sauce. Since neither of us was excited by the pineapple sauce, we asked if they could do a chocolate sauce, and the waitress happily obliged. It was a delicious dessert -- the cheesecake took on the consistency of fresh cannoli filling. I'm definitely looking forward to more meals at Planet X.
