Let me just start by saying I have always liked Pizzeria Paradiso in DuPont Circle.
So, an aunt was in from out of town a few weeks ago, and I and my better half took her out to the Pizzeria Paradiso on M for dinner on a Tuesday night around 8:00.
I gotta say, I was disappointed in it and felt that it wasn't up to the DuPont circle location. I had the Margherita, my favorite. The tomatoes on it were bland and mealy (and to top it off, there weren't enough of them!), there were probably three small basil leaves (hardly enough to impart the flavor I like) and there was too much cheese (blech). Finally, it was underdone. The place wasn't packed (we were seated immediately), so it just didn't make any sense that they shouldn't have gotten things better. I should admit, but two fellow diners seemed pleased with their meals, but, quite frankly, I don't think of them as the most discriminating of folks.
Have others been to the Georgetown location? What did you think? Is quality still the same at the DuPont location?
