Pizzeria Ludica

The newest contender in the Neopolitan pizza race. It's in the old Verace spot, next to T&T Supermarket downtown. I picked up three pizza's tonight - Margharita, Carne and Quattro Stagione. All three were excellent in my opinion. Good charring on the crust with proper leoparding. Toppings were generous, especially on the Quattro St.

They have an interesting concept - they have hundreds of board games on their wall. Sounds great, but doesn't a restaurant want some turnover? I mean, if people are playing games for a couple of hours what is their plan? Regardless, really good pizza. My only minor quibble was with the oregano topping on the Quattro Stag. - it didn't need it and detracted somewhat from the delicious toppings. I think this place has real potential - and I like that they allow for pick-up, unlike some "snobbier" places in Gastown.
