Restaurants & Bars

Know this is a primarily an eastern PA board, but for what it's worth, we visited Pgh last week and had some great eats. First, there weren't enough meals to eat in a short weekend, so we had to forgo Primanti Bros and Wholey Fish Mkt., but you can only eat SO MUCH! We did get to the Original Hot Dog factory again...worth every fat gram. Two places we'd never tried before.. DiPietro's in Westview. Just stumbled in here and were amazed at the careful preparation and fair pricing. We'd go back again. Really good Italian, and the owner was on the premises on Sunday night. We also toured the Frick House and ate at the Frick Cafe...very nice, carefully prepared lunch. The prix fixe lunch was very good, much better than we had expected. Three courses of nicely presented food.
