Our family had a great dinner at Pilar in Aventura last evening.
My husband and 20 year old son had Caesar salads which they liked. My 18 year old son had a shrimp cocktail which he loved. I had the tuna tartare appetizer which was great and very fresh. The boys all had the “Special” Surf and Turf which was a peppercorn filet steak in a brandy sauce that came with grilled shrimp, shitake mushrooms, scalloped potatoes, and asparagus. They loved it and at $36.00 was well worth it. I had a crab cake app as my main. It was very low on filler, high on crab and a very generous portion. The boys tried it and we all thought it was awesome. We had two sides- the onion rings and sautéed spinach with mushrooms. They were both great.
A wonderful meal and very good value!
