Picholine -RW Review

Stephenie | Feb 7, 2005 10:34 AM

After swearing off RW lunches, we gave Picholine a try on Friday. What an unpleasant experience. They were overbooked and badly overcrowded - we waited for 15 minutes to be seated, being stepped on for most of it by other people trying to check in.

The food was ok - certainly uninspired. The appeatizers were venison sausage or cannelini bean soup (both were good). The main courses were cod or chicken. The cod was good but not memorable; the chicken was a little chewy but came with an interesting spin on homefries. For desert we both had the chocolate "parfait" - really more like a dense chocolate cream pie with a dollop of malted milk flavored whipped cream on top.

The servers were overwhelmed and not especially helpful. I would steer clear of Picholine on future RW's.
