In the old Taste of Asia space, with a new coat of paint and some artwork, Pho&I has a full Vietnamese menu.
We enjoyed the special Volcano Hotpot for two ($25), a selection of beef slices, squid & shrimp cooked at the table in a pot of boiling soup (we chose the Tom Yum, which was excellent), with veggies, rice-paper wrappers & dipping sauces. That was pretty much the top of the menu and we had plenty of time, which we needed.
Other tables were enjoying more traditional V-N dishes.
They've only been open a few days, and still have a few service glitches, but they're poised to take off with pleasant, reasonably priced meals in an area that needs all the chow it can get.
Also on the same block - the old Shanti/Taste of India seems to have been taken over by a tanning salon. Too bad.
