Ate at three really good restaurants on a recent business trip to Phoenix:
1. Lon's at the Hermosa - spectacular outdoor dining patio, although we ate inside. Very good foie gras and a nicely done pork tenderloin dish. Excellent relaxed meal.
2. Restaurant Noca - better foie gras here than the night before. Tucked away in a shopping center, this was crowded and clearly a spot for the hip crowd. Outstanding food - the prime beef ribeye was spectacular.
3. Barrio Cafe - really great southern Mexican food. No reservations so we had to wait awhile but it was worth it. The bar in front is small and crowded but the house margheritas were very tasty and the bartender very friendly.
