Checked out Phnom Penh while in Vancouver last week and was very disappointed. Not sure why it's billed as Cambodian/Vietnamese since the menu was Vietnamese. There's Hu Tieu My Vang, basically a Vietnamese noodle soup "Cambodian-style." Not actually Cambodian but a popular Vietnamese dish. It seems most online reviews mistake Vietnamese dishes for Cambodian:
The author describes "thit bo luc lac," or sizzling butter beef and "goi du du" or papaya salad, believing they are Cambodian...not quite.
Phnom Penh customers were Chinese, some Japanese...but none were Vietnamese. Telling.
