We're visiting Philadelphia and are looking for a place to eat this Saturday night in Philly. I want to dress up and have a good meal in a romantic/nice atmosphere. It can be trendy or classic, just not hipper-than-thou or snobby. The catch is the budget: We usually get martinis, appetizers, drinks with dinner and entrees, and would like to pay $150 or less for two of us.
I'm not sure we can afford many of the places I've seen recommended. Striped Bass and La Croix were recently mentioned - but no prices on their web sites (I hate that!) which makes me think they're out of our range. Can't afford Le Bec Fin, but didn't know if Bar Lyonnais was doable.
Oh, and we're staying in center city and would like to walk or take a short taxi ride to dinner.
Suggestions please!!! Thanks!
