I'll be making my first trip to Philadelphia in a couple of weeks, so I'm looking for some "must eats." I've gotten some recommendations on bars/pubs to visit, including a strong rec for Yuengling Lager beer (which I'll have to try), but so far the food recommendations are a little bit sparse. It is to the Chowhounds that I look for help.
Oh, I'll be staying at the downtown Marriott and won't have a vehicle, so walking and cab rides are in my future. We'll be dining either as a couple of a small group, all adults. I'm not even going to bring a jacket or tie, and even if I was, the prices commanded by formal restaurants are probably more than I want to spend. I'm young-ish (24), so casual atmospheres are desirable, although I can behave if the food justifies it.
Let this southern boy hear some advice for his trip up north.
