Philly Hound Needs Advice Again

Dear NYC hounds, I am here to ask for your help again. My last trip to your fair city (Met for Gauguin, Le Gigot for dinner, Temple Bar for drinks) was an excellent one because of all your help (especially Shortstop). Directions for the subway were great and we got around easily. I loved the Village and my wife loved SoHo so I want to try to center our next winter visit to either of these areas. These areas may be passe for you all (?) but we are just discovering them. With limited funds, we will either eat at a moderate restaurant and stay over a night or splurge for a meal and drive home. So I'd appreciate any and all advice in the following areas:

Moderate: Chez Michallet; Po; CamaJe; The Place; Lupa; Jean Claude; Jarnac; Da Andrea; The Harrison

Expensive: Blue Hill; Annisa; Raoul's; Jo Jo (in the UES I know)

And any feedback on the following places to stay would also be appreciated: Wash. Sq. Hotel; Larchmont; Incentra Village House; Chelsea Lodge; Chelsea Hotel; Hotel Wolcott

I KNOW I am asking for a lot but I know the Manhattan board will come through for me. Please feel free to add any other places that you feel have good food, are romantic, and would make a short trip a great time. Thanks again and in advance, David
