So they finally opened after about a year of renovations.
Concept and Atmosphere: MUCH better concept than SPVino, same owner (Pete) and manager (Paisan (sp?)). Even though PS doesn't really need another pizza place... and a wine bar that wasn't crap would have been nice. But this concept is so much more "normal" than SPVino, fewer tables so it doesn't look empty, and most importantly, they chopped off half the bar, moved the "kitchen" to the back and built their own brick oven. Also have a communal table which was cute. So it looks good from atmospheric pov.
Food: I'm not going to judge too harshly because it's only opened two weeks or what not. The pizza itself took way too long to come (but as I said, it's early and I don't judge immediately after opening) and was slightly undercooked. We got a pizza with speck and olives and I don't remember what else. It was underseasoned, definitely needed a kick to it. Once we added red pepper flake, it really helped. The calamari app was fantastic though - the black olives they use are like crack, and I don't even like black olives that much.
Overall, I'd give it a good 5.5/10 for now, and will definitely go back to see if it's improved in the coming weeks.
