My family had the good fortune of dining at Antara in Medfield last week for the first time. My wife was born in Peru and raised here. She had high praise for the artful presentation and delicious food served at Antara, as did I. My college-age son joined us. For appetizers, she had the shrimp chowder (chupe de camarones), I had the stuffed potato (papa rellena), and my son had papas a la huancaina (Huancayo-style potatoes). All were out of this world. My wife said the chupe was some of the best she ever had! For the main course, we all had the lomo saltado (sauteed tenderloin of beef), the measure of any good Peruvian restaurant and it exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was simple, yet elegant. Most appetizers were under $10, and the main courses were in the $15-$20 range. We can't wait to go back.
