Persimmon Downhill...

Persimmon is a local restaurant for me and I've been eating there since it opened. Even though there have been recent complaints, I decided to go with friends from France. Weren't we suprised when the good Bordeaux we ordered came out about 10 degrees too hot? We told the waitress and she indicated this has been a problem. I asked her to chill the rest of the bottle. I also asked her if the owner was there and when she said yes, I asked her to please tell him. (I guess I thought he would come over and offer an explanation. He didn't.) Needless to say, we had to wait for the wine in our glasses to cool down before we enjoyed it. Our guests seemed to enjoy their food, but my husband and I each ordered steak and both were over cooked. The waitress never appeared to ask how our food was. Because we had guests, we didn't pursue the matter at the time. I sent an email to the restaurant and no response - it's been over a week. Very disappointing to say the least - and it's a Wine Spectator recommended restaurant. For whatever reason, they have stopped caring.
