PDX--Mandarin Cove

I just tried Mandarin Cove chinese takeout (via Delivered Dish) for the first time.

I was pleasantly surprised--it was nicely flavorful and the meat was decent quality (something I am picky about). We had Chicken in Tangy Sauce, Snow Peas with Water Chestnuts, and House Fried Rice.

The Snow Peas dish not only contained water chestnuts but was bursting with them, big thick slices and tons of 'em, which I loved. The snow peas were a bit past al dente but eh, I'll give them benefit of the doubt on that one. It *was* takeout.

The chicken was nice white meat and the sauce was tangy/tasty, not insipid. Again, bursting with water chestnuts. For a change, the meat was good enough that I didn't want to pick around it.

If you're wondering, I'm not mentioning the fried rice not because it was bad, but because I was blinded by the other two dishes and frankly, didn't really notice the rice while I was admiringly eating my snow peas and water chestnuts and nice, decent chicken.

eggrolls were no good but everything else was very good. I would eat there again.

I'm curious, is this a consistently decent chinese place? what are other people's experiences (and/or other recommendations?)
