Had a super dinner tonight at Park's BBQ. Thanks to Ipsedixit and the others who recommended it.
We ordered the first four meats on the menu - kobe style shortrib, marinated short rib, regular short rib, whole ribe eye steak - plus a plate of marinated pork belly because it just sounded so right. Also, some veggies, mushrooms and bi bim bap (sp?).
The meat was really tasty, the sauces were all good, and the small dishes were delicious. The server who handled our grill made me sorry that I'd been frequenting the westside cook it yourself japanese bbq joints for all these years. Sure, it's fun to flip meat over a flame, but it's more fun to enjoy your conversation and your food without worrying that you've incinerated dinner.
My whole group looks forward to a return visit.
