Surprise, surprise, my last meal in SF was another cantonese seafood restaurant but not Kois, HKFL, or the usual suspects. Sorry Melanie, I didn't get to go to Riverside Seafood either...
I actually dined at Parc Hong Kong on Geary. A friend recommended a dish that sounds absolutely delicious and I just had to try it before I leave. Boy, was he right. The dish in question is none other than the special Lotus Leaf wrapped Crab with rice. The cooking process is actually similar to a regular lotus leaf wrapped rice. The difference is that there is a huge crab inside along with it. For 28 dollars, You get a huge crab baked/steamed in lotus leaf with rice. When the dish came (prepare to wait 30 minutes), it smelled amazing. The rice inside the lotus leaf absorbed some of the crab juices and was simply amazing. They also added bits of egg, chicken and mushroom with the rice and served inside the lotus leaf pocket. The crab and the rice mixed perfectly and the steaming hotness and the sweet aroma of the lotus leaf made this dish very memorable.
For all the cantonese cuisine crab lovers, I highly recommend this dish.
