Someone mentioned the fire on Roosevelt and 61st which knocked out a few stores.
One of my favourites was the little South American bakery under the bridge which made the most unbelievable pan trensa with guava and cream cheese.
I have never found a decent replacement for that guava bread - La Fina up the street a bit does a fairly good one -but they put too much sugar on top and they are too often sold out.
Does anyone have any suggestions in the Woodside/Jackson heights area for this particular delicacy?
