We went last night and it was great.
I had an Apple-tini. According to them , they have great Martinis. This was high quality for a "flavored" martini.
We also had a bottle of wine and I must say that I think their list was a tad high given thier location, but it was still good.
Apps: we had 2 specials a layered eggplant and the winner of the night, giant shrimp wrapped in bacon
Pasta: we shared penne with vegetables and some kind of fish (I forget). It was too oily for my taste,but still good.
House Salad: dressing major vinegar but good
Entrees: I had your husband's favorite Saltimbocca and it was beautiful, just what I wanted it to be. My husband had a flounder special that they mixed somehow with fresh ricotta.. Sounds weird, tasted divine!
Dessert: yes, we packed in a shared tartuffo --- we picked the choc/vanilla combo.
The oil for the bread was great as you said. At the table next to us, a group had brought "Grandma" out for dinner, perhaps to the old nabe? Anyway, you should have seen her face when they brought out that special oil for the bread! She was in heaven and couldn't wait to dig in.
All in all, it was very good and we would definitely go back. A bit pricey over-all for where it is located and just one block over is really seedy so if anyone goes I would recommend paying the $5 for the valet parking.
