Many thanks to all who responded to my previous post with suggestions. Major feature of the trip was the heat!! Changed a couple of plans, we did not go to the zoo and plans to visit the Dupont Circle area simply became a drive by. We did go to National Gallery of Art to see the Egyptian show. Very neat. Also stopped at National Cathedral on our way home.
We went to Lebanese Taverna as suggested at Pentagon Center on Joyce St. Everyone was very nice and we enjoyed the food very much. My wife ordered the yogart drink. She was expecting somthing like a lassi. Even I did not care for it, way to salty. An acquired taste I'm sure. But we could not have been happier.
The Sur La Table store was cool as well. They have Julia Child there tommorow the 20th to do a book signing.
Breakfast on Sunday was hotel room service from the Hyatt Crystal City. Pastries were very good, and coffee was hot and fresh. I know, not very adventuresome but it was nice and relaxing.
Once again thanks to all who made suggestions and if anyone is coming to Lancaster PA area I will try to respond in kind
