I had lunch at Peach Farm (Chinatown) today, and there was a table that had 3 large platters of oysters - each platter had 8-10 oysters; they were huge - each at least 5 inches long. Edges of the shells were strongly rippled; not the regular east coast oysters. They had what looked like ginger and scallion julienne on top of each. Couldn't tell if raw or cooked.
I was a guest of a group and didn't feel right asking the staff what they were - the oyster eaters were in another room.
Does anyone know what this dish was? I'd love to go back and order it.
